Nistru. The Irreversible Flow of Life

Documentary by Iurie Tocmas

80/52 minutes, in development, Baltic Balkan Productions (Latvia, Moldova, Finland, Croatia)

On a trip down the Dniester (Nistru), the river and its flow serve as the allegories of the human life and life of the nation. People living on the banks of the river form a collective protagonist, a human being, and we follow its life from the moment of birth to the old age, as our protagonist goes through all the joys and sorrows of the life. As we travel with the river’s flow, the stories we hear from the people blend into one tale about live of the people on the Dniester.
